Kisuze Wins Chess Title

Stephen Kisuze crowned two days of a brilliant display to win the End of Year Open for the second time on Monday.

The 28-year old system analyst earned six and a half points in the eight round swiss event held at Kampala's EAGEN House. 

"It was a tight event, I faced a number of young players and beating them was quite a task," Kisuze said.

Kisuze, also winner in 1994, won six games, drew one against Edward Sewanyana, the joint fourth finisher.

Kisuze lost one game against Bob Bibasa in the fourth round.
