ANGOLIKIN REGISTERS SECOND WIN IN ZONAL CHESS PDF

Uganda's female representative in the Zone 4.2 Africa Chess Championship, Goretti Angolikin beat Sudan's Ciseera Mohammed in a third round game played this morning (23rd May 2011) to get to two points out of a possible three.

Having the White pieces, Angolikin attacked her opponent using the Sicillian Grand Prix and had her on the wall for the bigger part of the game until she forced her into resignation.
The win is Angolikin's second out of the three games played so far in the ladies category. She will be up against yet another Sudanese player  in the fourth round  to be played tommorow morning. The ladies are six in total (including four from Sudan, one from Egypt and one from Uganda) and are therefore playing a double round.

At the time of writing, Uganda's other representative Elijah Emojong was just about to take on a Nigerian International Master in a fourth round game.
